We’re back with a couple of midweek bets, so let’s dive straight into them.

Reasonings:
Starting with the game in Scotland, we have gone with Over 2.5 Goals ahead of BTTS. Let’s be honest, Celtic have plenty of quality and they have won all five of their games so far this season. They could quite easily go 2-0 up and then turn it into a comfortable 4-0 win.
That said, I wouldn’t write St Johnstone off completely. They are certainly capable of finding the net, and if they do, that could change the game completely. A goal could give them some momentum, put Celtic under pressure and make things interesting. You never know, St Johnstone could even cause an upset and walk away with all three points.
Celtic should have enough quality to find the net tonight, that’s for sure. Over 2.5 goals has landed in 60% of St Johnstone’s matches this season, while Celtic have seen it in 80% of their games so far. Those numbers certainly give us plenty of encouragement for goals.
Moving onto the Championship fixture between Charlton and QPR, both sides are level on 10 points after their opening five games. Both suffered their first league defeat in their most recent match, and neither side managed to score, so both will be keen to get their shooting boots back on tonight.
BTTS has landed in 60% of both Charlton and QPR’s matches this season. QPR also come into this one with a very high xG for, while Charlton’s xG against suggests they can be vulnerable defensively.
Charlton’s xG for isn’t quite as impressive, but they have home advantage and I think they should have enough to find the net at least once. Personally, I could see this being a 1-1 or 2-1 either way, which is why BTTS stands out to us here.

Let’s get into some of the stats and data.
Starting in Estonia, Looking at the head-to-head record, BTTS has landed in three of the last four meetings between these sides. The xG numbers also suggest that both teams have vulnerabilities at the back, so seeing both sides find the net once again wouldn’t be a surprise. Both sides are level on 31 points after 25/26 games, so expect this one to be a competitive match rather than a one sided match.
Moving onto Sweden, there is just one point separating these sides after 22 games. Oddevold have seen BTTS in more than 70% of their matches this season, while the hosts have seen it land in 59% of theirs. Their last two head-to-head meetings have both seen BTTS, finishing 1-1 and 2-2. I wouldn’t be surprised to see another similar scoreline tonight, with the xG numbers also suggesting that both sides should have opportunities to score.
Finally, we have the game from England, with Derby County, who are sitting fourth from bottom, taking on playoff-chasing West Bromwich Albion. Goals might not immediately spring to mind when you look at this fixture, but there are a few stats worth considering. BTTS has landed in 80% of West Brom’s games this season, while it has happened in just under half of Derby County’s matches. The most recent head-to-head meeting at Pride Park also finished 1-1, and looking back over the last couple of seasons, BTTS has landed fairly frequently between these two sides.
Derby have home advantage once again tonight, and while I wouldn’t expect a goal-fest, I do think there is a good chance both sides can find the net. Another 1-1 wouldn’t surprise me at all.
