Over 2.5 goals double

QPR and Cardiff have both seen Over 2.5 goals in two of their three games so far this season. Both sides have looked good in front of goal, and their xG for numbers back that up. Cardiff have also scored and conceded in all three games, so I think we could be in for an entertaining game tonight. It’s still very early in the season, but the signs are there for goals.
Both sides are averaging over four total goals per game already this season, so this one certainly catches the eye.
St Gallen’s xG for is particularly impressive at over 2.30, while Grasshopper are still sitting at just under 1.50 xG.The xG against numbers are also interesting, which could point towards chances at both ends.The season is still young, but based on what we’ve seen so far, I like the look of Over 2.5 Goals here.
Bold to win double

- Luton v Stockport – Home win
Another angle I like in the QPR game is the home win. I’ve already mentioned that both teams are looking good in front of goal, but QPR have also looked good defensively. There’s a good structure to the team, and I think that could make the difference tonight. I could see QPR winning this 2-1 or 3-1, or they could even keep a clean sheet and win 3-0. I like QPR to get the job done at home.
This one might seem like a strange or slightly risky selection, especially after Stockport’s impressive 5-1 win at the weekend. But sometimes, when a team wins by a big margin, the next game doesn’t go quite as expected. Luton are also in a position that I don’t think reflects where they’ll eventually finish. It’s still very early with just three games played, but I expect them to be around the top three by the end of the season. If Luton want to challenge for promotion, these are the games where they need to pick up points. They have the quality on the pitch and a good manager to get the best out of them, so I’m backing them to respond tonight.
